Hello world!

I am the traveling girl.  When I stay in one place too long I tell Dennis “we never go anywhere”.

I arrived in the USA July15th with Fern.  We visited with family at Izzy (Isabel) 1st birthday in Conroe, TX.  Shawn & Sherrie flew in from Lawton, OK for the weekend and Shannon with Lizzy (Elizabeth) flew in from St. Robert, Missouri.  We had fun on her birthday July18 as we went to a park that has animals to pet and toys for kids to play on along with putt putt golf.  Then on the 19th they had her party in their house with the rest of the family members who drove over from Humble, TX.

Fern & I, Shawn and Sherrie drove the two cars to Lawton, Ok where we stayed for a week visiting with my sister Debi and her daughter Stefanie and Grandkids McKenzie and Mica.  On July 26th we drove to Altus to visit our old friend Kathy and to try out my new car the Mercedes C300.  It is so much fun to drive.  On the 27th we had a cookout and invited Debi’s family to come over with Shawn & Sherrie.  Brent & Jessica came and Brent helped cook.  We were together to celebrate it had been 10 years since my aneurysm.  Enjoyed visiting with Stef and Jeff and girls.

On July 28th Fern & I drove to good old Watonga to kind of settle in and relax.  Well there was no electricity in my part of town.  I rushed over to Grandpa Phil and he also was without electricity.  The Light and Water Company said that OG&E had done some work and when they switched Watonga back to the main grid it blew out two main breakers so they had to bring in electricity from Southard and not enough for the whole town.  Naturally the stores were more important than the people.  I rushed down and got a room at Watonga Motel.  They were so nice and understanding.  I was amazed at how the room was nice and clean but most important cool as that day it was around 105 in Watonga.   We did finally get electricity on Tuesday around 3 pm which was great as the office said it may be dark.  I was so happy.

We headed out on the 31st to Ft. Worth to see my sister in law Linda.  She has throat cancer then from the radiation she got an infection.  She told the doctors back in March she had an infection and they blew her off saying it is just cancer.  She started to hemmorage when she was with family and they rushed her to the hospital in Denton who medivac her to Ft. Worth. There the specialist found a bad infection so bad he had to go in to clean out her throat.  She does still have cancer and is to go to MD Anderson in Houston next week.  Fern & I left there on the 1st to go to Conroe to see Kelli and Izzy again for a week while Josh is off to Malaysia.  Fun to watch her, is so active she wears is all out.
