We had a great 4th of July week. Jen and Duston came on Tuesday and Shannon, Steve with Liz came on Wednesday. Fern and Ben drove up. We got to play golf with Jen and Duston on Wednesday at the Lawton CC. They are such fun to play with. They stayed here for a week so we got to play 3 times. On Thursday we played kind of a scramble with Dennis, Liz and Jen on one team and Shannon, Duston and myself on the other team. We were knocking them out on the first 9 and then fell back to even par on the back nine. They beat us by one point. The 4th was a Friday evening that we really enjoyed. We had Duston’s friend Brian and his girlfriend with her daughter come and Stefanie invited her friend Christy’s family. The kids enjoyed the pool, Dennis cooked great hamburgers and hotdogs, then when it got dark we started the fireworks. Christy brought what in Colombia they called globos. they were paper tents you lit a piece and they would float away. I loved watching them more than the fireworks Shannon brought. She stopped off on the way and loaded the car with great ones. The “guys”and Liz did the lighting.
