Cathy Lindsay invited all the Hickmans to her house for this years family reunion.  Dennis and I flew to Santa Barbara then drove to Santa Maria  while Murray and those from Vegas drove.  we had a small group, Murray and Cheri Hickman, Murray Jr.,  Robyn, Alex. with  Roxie and Carlos.  Cathy’s husband Doug got back from a bad fire just before the reunion and Collin and Ashley were there also.

on Saturday we went to Rancho Sisquoc where we got to taste some great wines.  They even gave us the wine glasses we used to taste. Murray was so funny as we were allowed 6 tastes but each time he would tell them it was his first time.  He lost count and I don’t doubt they did also.  Carlos and Murray Jr. were sneaking beer.  they carried in an ice chest with beer and poured it into their wine glasses.  Signs all over do not bring any liquor into the area.  They had a group there selling tacos so Ashley and I went over paid $10 each to get a plate.  Murray and Dennis bought several bottles to take home.

From that winery we went to one owned by Fess Parker were we got less to to taste and they did not give us the glass either.  Dennis bought a couple bottles.

We were worried about how to get our 8 bottles home but Cathy boxed it up and sent it to us.

On Sunday it was decided that Murray and the Vegas people had to head back so Dennis and I figured we should drive back to Santa Barbara as everyone kept telling us the traffic would be bad so we drove back.  I got a reservation at the Hyatt on the coast and we got into the room just in time for the Dallas game to start.  After the Dallas game we walked over the the beach to look around thinking we should be there when the sun goes down. Nothing much in the way of a good restaurant in the area so we drove downtown and found a great Steakhouse had a time trying to find a place to park as that area has several restaurants but not parking space.

On Monday morning we found a place to get some breakfast then on to the airport to head back home.
