We picked up the RV at 3 pm so we decided to stay the night there. They provide spots with electric only we but is free so not bad.
We then headed out. Had to drive south to I 80 then off west First stopped in Omaha KOA which is not great but ok to stay at if you pay extra for premium sites. We just took it easy there didn’t need any groceries.
From Omaha we continued west to Ogallala Nebraska KOA for the night. We had planned to go sw out of there to Colorado then Moab but word was the I 70 was closed due to avalanche so had to continue west on I 80. Most places were closed so couldn’t sight see. Map said there was Lonesome Dove bar but it no longer exists.
From Ogallala we went to Rock Springs Wyoming KOA for the night where we were able to load up on groceries. From Rock Springs we headed to Salt Lake City. We had to go through a tunnel that was impressive on I80. Our map wanted us to head south through the mountains but it was one lane and worried us is the reason Salt Lake City. From Salt Lake again map wanted us to head south but my husband was worried about roads so we took interstate highwayI 15 to meet up with I 15. Yep extra miles for sure but my driver felt better Problem I 15 in that area is very winding road and plus there was a car wreck so took us 10.5 hours instead of 7.

Moab KOA was not a bad place to park and we didn’t go the year before as I couldn’t find parking online but when we got there there was tons of camps to park.
The Arches was very impressive to see. We walk some but not to the major arch as it was 7 miles each way plus the temperature was a little hot.
The next day we went to Canyonland National Park. It was foggy when we first got there. We tried to walk to arch there but everyone on the trail said can’t see it too foggy. We was able to drive around then on the way out the fog had lifted so we walked to the arch it was a little rainy and the fog behind the arch so you couldn’t see the canyon C

From Moab we went south on 191 to I 40 and Holbrook Arizona. our problem the GPS had us take the “shorter route” but it went through the Indian Reservation and was narrow and rough. We made it to I40 and found the KOA in Holbrook as it was the nearest park to Winslow and close to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert.
We drove both before but this time we entered the Petrified Forest on the south side and enjoyed seeing more then continued on to Painted Desert.

We enjoyed to drive into Winslow to see the statue of Eagles Glenn Fry and the Red flat bed truck.

From Holbrook we drive to Vegas to Oasis Rv Resort. it was sure different being listed as an upscale resort. to check in there were about 6 lanes to enter then you are assigned your site. I thought we had a upscale site for our 45′ rv as paid extra due to size. But it wasn’t, our picnic table sat next to neighbor site septic!!! When I complained on the site people said I was crazy that it was a great place. We will never go back.
We drove to Death Valley the day of our anniversary. Sure worth seeing lowest area under sea level. From there on return we went to Area 51.

Got back to RV and went to Del Frisco to celebrate 53 years together. I made reservations ahead of time and we of course got there a little early so was asked to wait at the bar. That didn’t. bother me but after 30 minutes I see a guy come in wanting a table and slipped the girl some money and they took him and his group to table right then. I then threw a fit asked for manager. Told him what was done and they hurried to seat us. We then had great service and wonderful food.
