Anniversary Trip 2021 #3

From our time in Vegas we drove to Bakersfield CA and stayed at the Orange Grove RV park. It is listed as upscale resort. All around the park were naval orange trees, unfortunately wrong time of year for us in September they are for picking later in the year. We stayed there planning on driving around as parking or driving a 45′ motorhome is not easy and being a upscale made it worthwhile.

From the park we drove to Sequoia National Park. We sure enjoyed seeing the trees that were tremendous in size. We drove all around looking for a standing tree we could drive through and after hours we found out wrong park. Was so funny to think about it. We did find a tree laying on the ground we could walk on and one we could drive through just not standing.

From Sequoia we drove north to Kings Canyon National Park where we got there just in time to get my stamp before the office closed. From Kings Canyon we punched into the suburban gps the address to the rv park. We. just touched fastest not studying and in the National Parks there was no cell service to find our way back, it took us through the mountains down narrow roads in an area we were worried about finding our way out. Took us an extra hour to get back. We got back so late we were having heck finding a place to eat. The Mexican place was closing but there was a truck selling food. After waiting in line quite awhile we gave up not knowing about the food and ended up eating at Taco Bell. NO joke Taco Bell.

We drove around town the next day and found a place selling oranges and grapes. We were on our way out of California when I noticed the grapes were in the bag from H-E-B grocery that is in Texas. Both were great to eat for sure. From California on our way to Tucson Arizona we stopped along the road at Blake Ranch RV park at Kingman Arizona. Not a bad place to stop for the night.
